Disasters, road accidents, and urban emergencies often require rescuers to reach victims in hard-to-access areas, such as cliffs, buildings, wells, or collapsed structures. The Rope Rescue Techniques Training by BREDO Pakistan prepares first responders, firefighters, and volunteers with the technical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to perform safe rescues using professional rope systems. This program aligns with INSARAG (International Search and Rescue Advisory Group) and NFPA 1006 standards, ensuring global-level safety, competence, and operational excellence.

Prerequisites:
Basic physical fitness and prior awareness of first aid or rescue safety protocols are recommended (not mandatory).
Our sessions combine classroom learning with real-world simulations, cliffs, rooftops, and staged rescue zones. Participants practice under supervision using certified ropes, pulleys, harnesses, and carabiners. Each exercise emphasizes teamwork, situational awareness, and communication, essential skills in real rescue missions.

Director of Disaster Response Training and Operations
With extensive experience in humanitarian response and capacity building, Mr. Turkmenoğlu currently serves as Coordinator of the IHH Disaster Academy. A graduate of Anadolu University’s Department of Emergency and Disaster Management, he has coordinated field operations during the Syrian crisis and led international search and rescue training programs under the ADAMEP project (in collaboration with TİKA), training teams from Lebanon, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pakistan, Northern Iraq, and South Africa.
Successful participants will earn the Rope Rescue Techniques Certification issued by BREDO Pakistan, recognized by national and international humanitarian partners.
Certification is valid for three years and includes competency verification in basic and intermediate rope rescue procedures.
