The Bridge for Resilience, Empowerment, and Development Organization (BREDO) operates exclusively in Karachi, Pakistan’s largest coastal megacity and a critical hub for urban humanitarian and disaster risk management interventions. As a locally registered organization, the organization is mandated to work within Karachi’s urban districts, focusing on communities most exposed to climate risks, urban hazards, and social vulnerability. Through collaboration with city authorities, civil defense bodies, NGOs, and grassroots networks, BREDO strengthens local resilience by implementing programs under DRRM (Disaster Risk Reduction & Management), WAGE (Women & Gender Empowerment), and IDAPS (Inclusion of Differently-Abled Persons in Safety).
