Basic First Aid Courses

Building Capacity for Safe & Efficient Rescue Operations

Overview

Training Objectives

Disasters, road accidents, and urban emergencies often require rescuers to reach victims in hard-to-access areas, such as cliffs, buildings, wells, or collapsed structures.

The Rope Rescue Techniques Training by BREDO Pakistan prepares first responders, firefighters, and volunteers with the technical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to perform safe rescues using professional rope systems.

This program aligns with INSARAG (International Search and Rescue Advisory Group) and NFPA 1006 standards, ensuring global-level safety, competence, and operational excellence.

By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Understand rope rescue principles and safety protocols
  • Learn knot-tying, anchoring, and belay system setup
  • Execute ascending and descending maneuvers using mechanical devices
  • Perform low-angle and high-angle rescues confidently
  • Manage team communication, equipment handling, and victim stabilization
  • Conduct evacuation from confined or elevated spaces
  • Implement post-operation recovery and inspection procedures
